Walk Off The Earth Tour

Walk Off the Earth Tour

Coming to town on May 26th in Portland Maine is Walk Off the Earth with special guest GABRIELA BEE OF THE EH BEE FAMILY. Which by the way; if my 5 year old knew I was going to also see Gabriela in person, he would be very very upset. I can’t tell you how many Fortnite dance challenges I have been dragged into with him because of Gabriela! Thank you!

Walk Off the Earth is known for their one take cover videos on YouTube. The video Old Town Road is making its way around social media now is pretty epic; and quite frankly who wouldn’t want to know where to find these huge bells just to have around the house; I could do some serious kid herding for dinner with these things! SEE THE VIDEO HERE

Walk Off the Earth? How did this become their band name? As we all know bands or artists typically have a story behind how they got their band name. Some are taken from street signs, memories, or even as simple as a name. However, W.O.T.E. got their name by explaining how they envisioned their fans experiencing their music.

“We Imagined the feeling people would get when they listen to our music, and we pictured them putting on a pair of headphones and becoming so entranced that it could let them walk off the earth.”

Walk Off the Earth Band Members:
Marshall – Guitar/Harmonica/Trumpet/Bass/Vocals +
Gianni Luminati – Bass/Drums/Guitar/Ukulele/Vocals +
Taylor – Keys, Vocals
Joel Cassady – Drums/Percussion/Samples
Sarah Blackwood – Ukelele / Guitar / Vocals / Percussion

I gave Sarah and Gianni a subtle bold text above because I wanted to point out that not only are they a beautiful couple, but they also have 3 kiddos! Giorgio , Luigi and Romeo. I wonder if it is really true if her water broke on the set of a video and she refused to stop working…. Plus, I cannot imagine how hard it must to be for them to both be on the road and be parents at the same time. I have a hard enough time just being a parent! Check out Sarah’s Vlog channel here.

The rumor that seems to follow Sarah and Gianni is: with every new album comes a baby…. hmmmm could there be more cute adorable musically talented babies to follow?

Let’s take a look back for a moment; 7 years ago their cover to “Somebody That I Used To Know” by Gotye started to take off and the band was getting noticed. Their unique collaborations as a band with subtle harmonies pulled us into their music.

They have a very fun-loving, free-living, natural vibe when they create their music and videos. It’s not often you see one instrument played by all band members. And very well at that! Sadly their “Fifth Avenue” video published this past January features one of their late band members Mike “Beard Guy” Taylor. It was a pretty epic beard; one that most beard enthusiasts would be proud of.

As we approach their upcoming show I took a look back at some of their most viewed videos on their YouTube channel and I must say there is no stopping this amazing and talented band. They work hard for what the have and each year they seem to put more passion and hard work into what they deliver to their fans! I cannot wait to see them in person and experience the show they are about to put on for all of us.

And for those who may be traveling to Maine just to see them must know to prepare themselves; because on the east coast Mother Nature still has yet to give us SPRING here in Maine so dress in layers. I am hopeful the day of the show will bring lots of sunshine and warm weather!
