Baby it’s cold outside!

Well winter storm ETHAN has hit today. I think we got well over 6 inches. I am not a fan of the cold however, these moments when we have most of the family together we take advantage and setup the tripod and camera!

As a photographer I love taking these opportunities with rare backdrops; I tend to experiment on ideas that have popped into my head and mostly they involve my middle daughter and our great dane. They are the best subjects to work with. (see below)

Because I had the tripod and timer set up I had to run on the ice to squeeze into the picture before the shutter went off. Thankfully I set it up for 5 shots every 5 seconds so I had enough time to be in at least 4 of the 5 shots. On one set of shots I decided to make a cute little blooper out of it.

With our dane growing older I like to snap as many pictures of him as I can so we have a lot of great memories of his sweet face. He just turned 9 years old December 1, 2017. Most danes average 7-10 years old. His hind legs are starting to give and we have already had to discuss the end of his time with our vet. Since he is so large once he is unable to hold up his own weight and can no longer walk on his own, we have to evaluate his quality of life and the vet will also let us know if his condition worsens or if he is in pain. I don’t want him to be in pain or suffer. But I think we still have plenty of time before we have to get serious about that decision.

I debated on saving these pictures for next years Holiday cards, but with the little ones growing so fast; too much will change over the next year.

HAPPY HOLIDAY’S from US.

The most exciting gift we got today as a family was our Drone, it can follow me around! I got this drone on black friday at Walmart. I can’t wait to use it outdoors on my photoshoots. But for now I have my tripod. (Click image below to check out more on the drone we got today)
