27 days….
The next 27 days I will be independently on my own holding down the fort! Here goes nothing!
Day 1:
Well yesterday was not the best day. As mentioned in another post we had a failed beach day attempt, followed by me burning a lid to my flour container, and the day ended with a cut to Ethan’s forehead before bed. Bedtime came and went and then was awaken by the upstairs neighbors. Which woke Ethan up twice. Living in an apartment with upstairs neighbors comes with some added annoyances, however these neighbors seem to have no care for the people residing under them. Either way I got Ethan back to bed, twice, then soon enough was woken up by my 5:30 alarm to get ready and start the work day. Here’s to day 2!
Day 2: Today was a much better day except I can feel the exhaustion setting in. I did however get to shower! Yay! It’s the little things…..
Got some not so great news today but I’m hopeful the plans turn around in our favor. I’ll know more in couple weeks. Until then I pray!
As far as my day it went seamless; the morning routine of walking the dog, getting myself ready, packing Ethan’s lunch, and dropping him off to daycare before I head to work went very smooth today. I even got to work 30min early!
Right now I’m sitting on the floor at the end of Ethan’s bed because we are trying a new bedtime routine that doesn’t involve us running his back for an hour and falling asleep ourselves. It’s not working well. He’s telling me in his whiney 3 year old voice “I don’t want to” as in he doesn’t want to go to sleep. I don’t give in for 5 min at a time.. he’s not crying he’s just whining for attention. Eventually I won’t have to sit here until he falls asleep. The transition from crib to big boy bed seemed like a great idea in May.. but now it’s not so easy. He wakes up with the sun and leaves his room to make sure we can see the sun! But this too shall pass.
Day….. oh who is counting … I’m literally almost a week in and life has been hectic.. planning a last minute trip to Az for a family of 4 is proving to be … let’s just say…. a pain in my rear… plus the cost is insane.. I have until 11pm tonight to bite the bullet and either book it or start all over searching over the next week. Flights are filling up quick and I don’t want to be that “we oversold the flight” recipient of bad news.. here goes nothing…. oh and did I mention the flight there only has middle seats in a row… I’m flying with a toddler people!!! Let’s pray!
Ok guys, I made it all 27 days and literally the day after my husband came back we had to spend all day packing up our family of 4 to fly out to AZ to see my family before we had to UPROOT and move further north to Maine.
I will post the Arizona pictures as soon as I get a moment. May not be until Fall due to the move.
