Do you ever wonder how you can stop and take pictures of things gone wrong when you’re so upset over what just happened? Well of course I had to take a picture! I’m a blogger!
Rewind to 3am when the hubby was getting ready to leave on his trip…. I couldn’t fall back asleep after he left and then at 5:30 my youngest wakes up ready to play!
Bring on the coffee!
My grand plan for the day was to go to the beach and waste the time away because the first days are always the hardest. You have to do it all on your own and it makes me remember my single parenting days with my older kids.
So I get the kids all ready and packed up to go around 10:30am and we head off on the hour drive south to the beach!
An hour later……
Well, had to turn around because all parking was full and the closest trolley lot was over 2 mi away and it was all bumper to bumper traffic and waiting lines on the far right lanes to get into parking lots. No way I was waiting over an hour for that. So we headed back home to go to the pool! I should have just made that out original plan.
The pool was great! And cold!
After the pool we came home to make cookies. And that’s where the day kept getting better……NOT!
I forgot I had just made tea on one burner and as I was making cookies I laid out flour lid on the burner and later wondered why I smelled plastic… well…..
I got it all off don’t you worry.. but this lid will cost me $20! Because I have to buy the entire container I’m sure.. but for now it still closes just doesn’t seal as tight.
These cookies are the best thing about today until I consume the entire batch then I’ll have to work hard to burn off these calories but hey YOLO! Lol
